Dr Dave and Elaine Nahrwold
Founders and associate DVM
A graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1978, Dr. Nahrwold is married to Elaine and has three married children, Elisabeth, Stephanie, and Seth. Their grandchildren,
Nate, Evelyn, Elyse, Anna, Zach, Ruth, and Lydia visit as often as possible.
Dr. Nahrwold started MVVC in Woodburn from nothing in 1987 and has grown it to what it is now. Elaine has been his faithful partner and receptionist the entire time, providing personalized small-town care! She is enjoying her retirement as of 2022!
Along with Elaine, Dr. Nahrwold owns (or is owned by) 3 house cats, a Welsh Terrier, and chickens. He enjoys fishing, gardening, and caring to his apple trees in his free time!

Caitlin
Receptionist/DVM Assistant
Caitlin began working for MVVC in 2017. Her love for animals began when she was young. Her family always had dogs & cats while growing up. She started
working at a veterinary clinic in high school & knew that
it was her calling. Since then she has worked at 3 clinics
that has garnered many years of experience in the veterinary field. She became a client at Maumee Valley Veterinary Clinic while she was in between jobs in 2013 and loved the thorough exam that was performed on my Pitbull mix, Kyra. It was very obvious to her that MVVC was passionate about their love & care for animals, as well as their appreciation for the clients. This made it a very easy decision when I decided to join their team. I look very forward to building a relationship with the clients & their pets.

Jessica
Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Jessica began working for MVVC in 2019. She has always had a passion for animals and had a variety growing up. She is originally from Ohio, but married a man from Indiana. They live in Woodburn with their two children. They have been bringing their pets to Dr Nahrwold since 2006. Seeing firsthand how the entire staff cared for all animals, she knew they would also be great to work for. I look forward to meeting new and “old” clients alike, as well as their human counterparts!

Julianne
Quality Care Assistant
Animals have always been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. She shares her house with four long-haired cats and a Great Pyrenees. Also part of her family is a horse and seven barn cats. Her and her husband began bringing their pets to Dr.Nahrwold shortly after the clinic opened in 1987. Their first cat that they brought finally succumbed to kidney disease just 2 weeks shy of being 21years old. In 1991 she joined the staff as a receptionist-assistant, and then in 1997 she moved into a more flexible position cleaning the office allowing her to be a stay at home mom.

Stephanie
Registered Veterinary Technician
Stephanie started with MVVC in early 2022. She is a seasoned RVT, spending many years at a high paced clinic in Fort Wayne. She has a dog and 2 cats that keep her on her feet at home as well as all the plants that she loves maintaining. She also makes custom jewelry that you can see and buy at our front desk! At home besides her pets she has her loving husband and a son as well.

Sarah
Sarah is our second experienced RVT. She has worked with large and small animals in the past, and comes to our clinic with a fantastic veterinary knowledge and proactive helpful attitude. She is a Woodburn native and was happy to come back to MVVC where she interned as a high schooler with Dr Dave! She has a dog of her own that keeps her busy at home!
Thank you for trusting us with the care of your furry 4-legged family members!
