Dr. David F. Nahrwold DVM
A graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1978,
Dr. Nahrwold is married to Elaine and has three married children,
Elisabeth, Stephanie, and Seth. Their grandchildren,
Nate, Evelyn, Elyse, Anna, Zach, Ruth, and Lydia visit as often as possible.
Dr. Nahrwold's son, Seth, graduated in 2013 as a veterinarian as well from
Purdue Veterinary School.
Along with Elaine, Dr. Nahrwold owns (or is owned by) two house cats,
a Chihuahua, an Airedale, rabbits, and chickens.
Dr. Nahrwold invests approximately 30 hours of in-class continuing education
each year to stay current with advances in medicine and publishes
the yearly topics in his annual newsletter. When necessary,
he has the capability to send digitized x-rays and EKGs to consultants
by internet or fax for fast turnaround. For all new puppies, he emphasizes
behavioral training tips in the first visit. He also utilizes DVD presentations
of short topics for better teaching opportunities.
